Download the demo version of Fantay Grounds II here. The demo contains all the features of the full version with the following restrictions:

• No new campaigns or rulesets can be created. A demonstration campaign is available that can be loaded.
• You can modify the demo campaign but the modifications do not save.
• Characters created in the local character preparation mode are not saved.
• Hosting a game is restricted to two client connections at a time
• Ruleset modifications are not available.
• Customized assets, such as tokens and new images for maps can't be used.
• The demo is not compatible with the retail version of Fantasy Grounds.

The demo version will not be updated regularly. Check out the rest of the site for the latest updates to the retail version. For running Fantasy Grounds on Linux or Mac OSX, see System Requirements.

Patches to Fantasy Grounds II

Fantasy Grounds II is patched using an internal updater feature. When an update is available, the Check for Updates button will be outlined. Click the button and the update starts downloading. If you think that an update should be out but the button does not have the golden rim, click the button and the update check starts.

The Fantasy Grounds PEM Utility allows you to extract the PAK, EXT and MOD files that are included in the Fantasy Grounds installation. It also supports creating your own packages.

The d20_JPG ruleset was created by JPG as a replacement for the d20 ruleset. This ruleset will eventually be incorporated into the 3.5E ruleset, but is available here for those who wish to use it now. This ruleset does not self-install, and will need to be extracted to the rulesets subfolder of the Application Data Folder link in the Start Menu.
