Selecting a user name

Each participant in a session has a unique user name. Your user name also identifies all the characters and data that belonged to you in earlier sessions.

In the Fantasy Grounds launcher, click on "Join a Game as a Player".

If the "User Name" field is disabled, click on "Change".

Type in your user name.

Connecting using an IP address or host name

To connect to a host, you need to know the internet address or the host alias of the host computer.

In the Fantasy Grounds launcher, click on "Join a Game as a Player".

Enter the internet address of the computer hosting the session in the "Host address" field.

Click "Start".

Connecting using an alias

To connect to a host, you need to know the internet address or the host alias of the host computer.

In the Fantasy Grounds launcher, click on "Join a Game as a Player".

Enter the host alias in the "Host address" field.

Click "Start".

Using the connection history

The connection history stores the most recently used username and host address combinations.

In the Fantasy Grounds launcher, click on "Join a Game as a Player".

Click an entry in the "Session history" list box and click "Start". Alternatively, double click an entry in the list.
